The stateside jaunt will be followed by an Oct. 19 performance in Tokyo and a monthlong tour of Europe. Information about the overseas shows can be found at Bullet For My Valentine's website.

The ring is encouraging its breakthrough studio album, "Scream Aim Fire," which surfaced in January and shot to No. 4 on The Billboard cc. The set, BFMV's soph effort, has scored mainstream-rock hits with the claim track, "Waking the Demon" and the group's up-to-the-minute single, "Hearts Burst Into Fire," which is presently holding steady in the Top 30. All of those songs are streaming at Bullet For My Valentine's MySpace page.

Frontman Matthew "Matt" Tuck said "Scream Aim Fire" is much more aggressive and up-tempo than BFMV's 2006 debut, "The Poison."

"We have stepped it up a gear," Tuck explained in the band's bio. "This album is chock full of classic Bullet ingredients: metal riffs, throb rhythms, shredding solos and great melodies. We took everything that we learnt from 'The Poison' and took up tenfold. Better, fresher, harder, sadder and more real."

The quartet--comprising vocalist/guitarist Tuck, guitar player Michael "Padge" Paget, drummer Michael "Moose" Thomas and bassist Jason "Jay" James--intends to tour worldwide for more than two days to support "Scream Aim Fire."
